17 May - Andy Jones wins our internal 3+ tournament (and the Red Ball trophy)

Fresh from his win a Ryde the previous week, Andy Jones was in great form again today, to win our 3+ Singles and the Red Ball trophy but a clear two games.

Jones was undefeated until the last game when Dianne Browne, so often a tricky opponent, dented his otherwise clean record.

This was a very closely contested tournament behind Jones out in the lead with three players ending tied on 4 wins and three more on 3 wins.

Manager Frances Colman did the 'net hoop' maths to sort out the finishing order and had proceedings done and dusted before 1730!
