19-20 July 2023 - Aldermaston's Martin Burger wins the Phyllis Court & High Wycombe AC Advanced tournament

In a close tournament, hosed jointly at Phyllis Court (day 1) and High Wycombe (day 2), Martin Burger of Aldermaston CC used all his long experience to remain undefeated over the two days.

He established and unassailable lead going into the last round of five and saved his closest game to last when he beat Mervyn Harvey (Kenilworth) by one hoop in extra time.

Raghu Iyer (2 wins from 5 games) was Phyllis Court's only representative in the truncated field of seven, which pressed manager Chris Roberts into play a friendly hnadicap game again the sitting out player.
